We seek to connect and empower individuals with muted voices, by transforming good intentions into positive, confident action.
Who We Are
To capitalize on the TEDxPasadena platform, to take the intention of “ideas worth spreading” one step further by creating tangible social change within Pasadena.
The mission of Words2Action is to empower groups of individuals with muted voices, by transforming good intentions into positive change. We do this by engaging leaders, educators and learners; helping them to transform their notions into tangible results. By encouraging dialogue and action, we hope to improve the world, one idea at a time.
Words2Action believes that the convergence of ideas, talent and the incredible capacity of the human spirit, are what make the City of Pasadena exceptionally poised to impact our greater world for the better, and we seek to lead the way in forming a community within communities, where individual entities are stronger together, rather than apart.
To stop the lip service.
To align ideas, to capitalize on the zeitgeist, and to empower tangible, effective and healing change.
To unify talents and resources.
To mentor future generations to carry on this legacy.
With more schools per capita in the Pasadena area, access to JPL, NASA, Caltech, USC, Art Center, Huntington Library, Armory Center for the Arts, Huntington Hospital, Pasadena Symphony, and companies like Idealab, Supplyframe, and Parsons (just to name a few), we sit at the center of one of the most unique cities in the world.
We believe the tech community, the arts, medicine, science, engineering, public and private education, the corporate and non-profits, will all be better served by linking arms to one another throughout the year, and Words2Action intends to be that hub.
Our leaders are known for taking on big challenges.
